A singer and working performer since her teens, Sally Champlin's theatre credits include the great shows Cabaret (1st National Tour, dir. Harold Prince), Roza (Mark Taper Forum, dir. Harold Prince) and Beautiful Lady (Mark Taper Forum, dir. Elizabeth Swados). She has been on many TV shows, including Mike & Molly, Heroes, The Game, Disney's Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Frasier, Dragnet, Designing Women, Murphy Brown, The Young and the Restless, and Beverly Hills 90210. She is proud to have co-starred with Steve Railsback and the late Carrie Snodgress in the eery cult horror film Ed Gein. During her New York years, Sally considered herself very lucky to have written songs with legendary jazz artists including David Baker, Mike Longo, Dizzy Gillespie and Ron Carter, as well as having later written a musical farce called Snow Business with her brother, Bill Champlin. Sally's family includes her brother, Bill, who has two Grammys, and is a former member of the rock group, Chicago, and Bill's son, Will Champlin, who won a Grammy in 2009 and was a finalist on NBC's The Voice in 2014.
Her other nephew, Brad Champlin, is also a working musician. Sally and her writing partner, Bob Henley III, began writing and recording two albums for themselves several years ago. Before that, Bob had worked with Smokey Robinson and he currently tours with The Temptations Review. Sally and Bob met ten years ago, when Bob was the Minister of Music for Rev. Della Reese-Lett at the church Della founded, Understanding Principles for Better Living Church. They have been songwriting partners ever since. Sally's album is titled It's Rainin' In L.A., and is now available, while Bob's album is called Love's Having A Party! and will be released soon. They also have a music video on YouTube called Evil Greed, which Bob sings. Stay tuned, folks! Sally calls West Hollywood her home, where she teaches acting for the camera and shoots and edits videos such as the above video for Evil Greed. Exclusive representation by Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa.

On the development behind her brand-new CD, It's Rainin' In L.A....
One rainy Sunday afternoon not too long ago, I was happily at home in Hollywood. It was one of those rare misty grey mornings here. I was doing dishes while sipping hot chocolate, and listening to Etta James singing Sunday Kind Of Love. A musician friend had sent it to me earlier that day. Well, in the middle of the song, it started pouring rain. Buckets. I heard the words in my head, “It’s rainin’ in L.A...” and I turned off Etta, sat down and wrote all the lyrics in one sitting. I brought it to my writing partner/producer, Bob Henley III and he made it magical. Rainin' In L.A. is one of my favorite songs because it also turned out to be just the start of our fruitful musical partnership. Serve what you love and love what you serve! I'm so happy to have completed this album for all my fans to enjoy! xooooo, Sal
